Let’s Help Junior Recover!

Hi, my name is Yllen. It is with a heavy heart that I am creating our first gofundme account for my uncle.

Hector (Junior) was involved in a car accident on Friday; July 14th. He was hit by someone who lost control of his steering wheel due to the hot temperature in Miami. Junior suffered back injury and his car was a total loss. (Red Corolla pictured). Junior was working when this happened.

Unfortunately this was just the beginning. Two days after on Sunday; July 16 while he was driving back from Publix from picking up groceries, he was struck by a someone who was speeding, passed the red light and changed Junior’s life forever. (Black car pictured)

Junior was extricated from his vehicle and was rushed in an ambulance to the Ryder Trauma Center where he had immediate life saving surgery due to hemorrhaging liver. He was also resuscitated and is currently on the highest tier of ICU.

He has a:

-fracture on his upper and lower spine

-broken ribs

-broken arm & wrist

-punctured liver

-punctured lung (on a lung that has already been operated on previously due to cancer years ago)

-broken ankle

He has trouble breathing and is receiving oxygen. He is conscious and aware although movement is very limited to none for him.

Junior will have a long road to recovery. However, there has been an outpouring of love and support for him and his wife Josie who is currently with him and hasn’t left his side. This has aided in his recovery.

There are two children at home that miss him dearly and need their “Papo” back home.

Our community has requested the start of a gofundme to help with expenses. All funds will be used directly for Junior and Josie to use for medical and living expenses.
