Hello,

My name is Jim Vincent and I've had the fortune to be a lifelong friend of Kathleen Fitzgerald. Kathy has had an amazing life and career, and can simply be described as one of the biggest hearts and most generous souls I have ever known.

Kathy recently wound up in the ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The good news is that she is out of the ICU, but now into her third week in the hospital. Her many doctors have run extensive testing and determined that she has experienced irreversible cognitive decline and will no longer be able to live on her own.

Her sister Viki has been here and has taken on managing Kathy's affairs. Truth be told, Kathy will need to move into an assisted living residence when she leaves the hospital as early as next week. With that said, she needs both our emotional and financial support.
