Hi. My name is Jen and I’m fundraising for my extraordinary brother-in-law, Kevin. Kevin is an amazing dad, brother, uncle and teacher/librarian who always has a giant smile on his face. He is the most positive, happy person I know.
In late October, Kevin fell and broke his leg. Being a paraplegic for the last 40 years makes repairing the brake a bit more complicated. At this time, surgery is not an option, so he will be in a full leg cast at home for the next 3-4 months while his leg heals.
Kevin has always been super independent and not one to ask for help. He is always the one looking to help others. However, with this medical challenge, he is going to need your help. He will need to purchase a new bed that will enable him to be able to transfer from his wheelchair to bed with his full leg cast. He will require home health care support and if things do not heal as expected, he may also need to purchase a van with a lift so that he will be able to continue to drive himself to work once he heals. I know how much he is looking forward to being able to get back to school to see all of his students that bring him so much joy!
Appreciate any bit you can contribute to help Kevin as he continues his healing journey.
As Kevin would say, "Take Care and Keep Smiling!"
Thanks,
Jen
