Let's help Kim Miller kick cancer!

Hi, my name is Darla Glenn and I'm raising money for my dear friend Kim Miller.
She woke up Sunday, January 23rd and was getting ready for church when she felt a massive pain rush through her abdomen. The pain felt like back labor. She decided to stay home and rest to see if it would calm down. By afternoon Shaun(Kim's husband) was insisting that he take her to the ER. Kim didn’t want to go. She just knew it was nothing to worry about and she didn’t want to waste the time and money. Kim did tell Shaun she would go to urgent care in the morning if she didn’t get to feeling better. Monday morning came and they went to urgent care. They thought it would be a kidney stone or appendicitis. The on-call doctor agreed that was likely. They did a CT scan and blood work and waited. They were shocked when the doc came in and said Kim had a tumor on her ovary and he was concerned it was cancer. He wanted her to see her gynecologist immediately.
Thankfully her GYN had a cancellation 15 minutes later and she saw Kim right away. On Wednesday the 25th she had a complete hysterectomy. The doctor said that something had ruptured and she did a “washing” of Kim's abdomen and sent the fluid to pathology as well as the tumor. They truly expected the results to be benign. However, the results came back positive for cancer and Kim was sent to a GYN Oncologist. She saw the oncologist on February 10th. The news he gave was even direr. Kim has a very rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer. It is found in roughly 1,000 women a year. Because of the rarity, there has not been a great deal of research. This particular kind of cancer does not respond well to medical treatment. The usual treatment is 6 rounds of chemo. The doctor warned that Kim would be extremely sick, lose her hair and likely develop neuropathy and other issues. It has a very high likelihood of returning with a vengeance. There is only about a 35% survival rate using traditional medicine.
Article copied from BioMed Central--
“Ovarian tumors with rare histologic subtypes such as clear cell or mucinous tumors have been recognized to show chemo-resistant phenotype, leading to poorer prognosis. Especially, clear cell carcinoma of the ovary (CCC) is a distinctive tumor, deriving from endometriosis or clear cell adenofibroma, and the response rate to platinum-based therapy is extremely low. It was implied that complete surgical staging enabled us to distinguish a high-risk group of recurrence in CCC patients whose disease was confined to the ovary (pT1M0); however, complete surgical staging procedures could not lead to improved survival.”
With this information, time is of the essence! We have been praying and we strongly feel that God wants Kim and Shaun to try the Hope4Cancer in Mexico. Research has shown that with this rare cancer, holistic treatment has a better survival rate than traditional cancer treatments.
This is the decision they have made in their own words:
"With all of this information, the question is do I go ahead with a treatment that will make me sicker and give me lifetime ailments just to have it return within months? Or do we seek other options? We have decided to seek other options. I would rather live my life feeling good than extend it for only a few months while making me too sick to enjoy life. We have a friend who went to Hope4Cancer a year ago. Her prognosis was grim and she didn’t have much to lose. After 3 weeks at Hope4Cancer and continued treatment, she is cancer free. She highly recommended we take a look at it. We did. We have had other people come forward and tell us similar stories they had with Hope4Cancer. We reached out to Hope4Cancer and we have started the process of getting records etc to them. Although the cost is much less than traditional medicine like chemo, it is not covered by insurance. We have to pay for it ourselves. The cost for 3 weeks of in-patient treatment and ongoing treatment after getting home as well as follow-ups are roughly $50,000. Then there will be additional expenses such as travel for me and a companion. The overall cost will be closer to $70,000. This amount seems almost insurmountable. But nothing is too big for God."
Please give what you can at this time, as we need to get her there as soon as possible. I have never met a more genuine, loving soul than Mrs. Kim Miller! She deserves the best treatment and I want to make sure she gets it!
Thank you for your prayers and any donation you can give.
