Let’s Help Kristin Slater Fight Alopecia!

Recently, my dear friend Kristin Slater has been fighting an increasingly difficult diagnosis of Alopecia. While this illness takes shape in varying degrees and forms, for Kristin it has begun taking most all of her gorgeous hair resulting in baldness. Kristin is currently studying in her first year at med school all while continuing to navigate a frustrating and heartbreaking diagnosis. As one can imagine, the toll on Kristin both physically and emotionally is likely very difficult as she fights this disease. This gofundme is to raise funds for Kristin to be able to purchase a custom wig specifically designed for those with Alopecia from A Wig and a Prayer in Okemos, Michigan. The salon specializes in creating wigs for Alopecia patients to reduce the hardship of hair loss and highlight the beauty of each person. These wigs are costly as they are specially designed per individual to fit their needs.
