Here is a note from Linda....
The biggest consequence of the pandemic for me has been to make the very difficult decision to retire, due to the fallout from the pandemic coupled with reaching retirement age. With a heavy heart, I am announcing the news that I will not be offering classes or CAMPS going forward. I am very sad to say goodbye to you, the children, fellow teachers and my everyday life with Nature Nurture.
These past 16 years of leading Nature Nurture classes and CAMPS and mentoring over 1,800 Bay Area children (six at a time per class) have truly been the best of my life, as I could not have imagined a more meaningful, fulfilling, joyful and splendid way of spending my ‘work’ days. Not one day in the over 5,000 did Nature Nurture ever feel like work. (Nature Nurture staff members have said the same thing!).
Thank you to each and every family and child who has chosen and attended Nature Nurture over the past 16 years. Without you, well, there wouldn’t be a Nature Nurture. You made it possible for me, as Nature Nurture founder, lead teacher and mindful outdoor educator and enthusiast, to make my dream a reality: sharing nature with a small group of children on a daily basis, while mentoring them in the art of honoring all living things, including others and themselves.
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for the privilege of caring for and mentoring your child, and please feel free to keep in touch as your family grows.
