Meet Madison!

She is a vibrant 17-year-old who is active in varsity basketball and a rising senior. She's already taking college classes and preparing for her future after high school. Madison is the daughter of Krystyan Sauls. Deputy Sauls is a Marine Veteran and beloved school resource officer with the Craven County Sheriff's Office. She is currently the School Resource Officer for Creekside Elementary.

Last week Madison was unexpectantly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She started an intense chemotherapy regimen on June 24th and will continue the treatment for 6 months.

Unfortunately, she will not be able to go back to school until treatment is over. She will also have to take a step back from basketball until the spring while she fights this battle. This was a very unexpected diagnosis and as everyone understands the treatment is not cheap.

Any assistance that can be provided to help pay for medical costs and other financial burdens that will come is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping this family and this wonderful young lady so she can continue her life after this setback she is enduring.
