Let's Help Mark Lamb & His Family
Donation protected
Hello, Many of you may know our friend and brother Mark Lamb was supposed to have surgery Friday, 6/30/2023 to treat his kidney cancer. While Mark and his wife Amy were driving to NYC for medical prep, they were hit from behind at a red light by a semi truck. Their car was totaled and they were sent to separate hospitals.
Amy is a bit bruised but has been released. She is thankfully unscathed due to Mark throwing himself over her to protect her!! Mark is in rough shape- many broken ribs, broken clavicle, and possible other issues. He is at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Mark was already bracing for a difficult post-op recovery and now, adding this, he and his family are facing unbelievably difficult challenges in the months ahead.
As of Friday evening, Mark is weak and Amy says ribs 1-12 on his left side and 1-10 on right side are broken, along with his clavicle and stitches in his head. Obviously, he cannot get out bed of bed, his breathing is painful and his surgery has been postposed. The trauma surgeon is talking about stabilizing some of the ribs, possibly on Monday if they have to.
Despite all of this Mark is in good spirits but a lot of pain and he has retained his sense of humor. Coincidentally, he has a very nice male nurse, so he has that going for him.
Please help Mark and his family to the extent you can so that he has many happy, healthy years ahead with his wife and sons. Thank you!
