Let's help Mercy buy a car for her birthday!

Hi! We are Carrie Simon and Clare Dahl and we want to explicity ask you for money to help Mercy buy a car AND it's her birthday 9/24! Mercy does all kinds of generous things, she donates, brings treats, listens really well, and does all kinds of thankless things for the people around her. It's her way, we know this.

Her car got smashed and totaled while parked in front of her house about a month ago. The insurance payout for her old af but reliable and beloved Toyota was not enough to buy even a jenky car. She's been looking all over but due to supply issues? inflation? everyone buying used cars? they are very expensive.

If you have a lead on a decent car, share it with Mercy, please.

The financial need also comes from a cluster of factors. Jason and Mercy bought a house a year ago, got over that hump and had to help Mercy's mom buy a car. Also, Jason recently went through a job transition with a short gap and Mercy quit one of her jobs because she's smart and realized 3-4 jobs was enough for her.

Please consider donating a few dollars to help her not feel so overwhelmed (they will still be taking out a loan, etc) but this sudden and unexpected expense has really been tough on our friend.
