Let's Help Nurse Joyce Brown During A Hard Time

Hi my name is Rusty Baker and I'm raising funds for Joyce Brown. My goal is to help give Joyce some peace of mind with health related income issues. Joyce has been a nurse for 30 years. She started out with 4 years in home health care and now has been working for 26 years at a nursing home. Joyce is one of the nurses that cares for my son along with many other residents there. She is very caring to all her residents. I can verify this because I have seen her in action with Tony and others.

Joyce has had a challenging time this year with her own health. Since April of this year, Joyce became ill and was hospitalised with sepsis. This is when they discovered she had a large tumour around her ovaries. She had to have surgery and they removed a 12 lb. mass that was stage 1 cancer. It was good they got the tumour out with the cancer contained. Joyce had to miss 8 weeks of work for that. Now she has only been back to work for a few months and has to have surgery again to have a spinal fusion on 3 of her vertebra. She will be out for at least another 8 weeks for this surgery. She has continued to work through her shifts the last couple months, even though she's been in pain. Her time off work and medical bills has caused a financial strain for her and she will now be out of work again. I just want her to recover and not have to worry about falling farther behind.
