Let's Help Our Favorite Chef and Her Hubby!!!

Harvey and Sonya Worthem are two of the kindest and most generous people you could ever meet! They will literally give you the shirts off their backs to help you in any way they can. Sonya's beloved mother depends on their care, as well. They do what they can to help and support their community and others and do all they can to help and support each other--which is where WE come in.

In July, Harvey had spine surgery which caused him to be out of work until the beginning of September. During his sick leave, he used up his short-term disability and most of his FMLA. Once cleared to return to work, Harvey only worked less than 2 weeks before he started having challenges with his already arthritic right knee. HR advised that he stay off work until he felt well enough to return. However, his situation worsened, and he was advised by his ortho to undergo knee replacement surgery originally scheduled for November 3. Because Harvey had been an inactive employee since September, his job advised that he have his surgery expedited because his health benefits were scheduled to end on October 31.

On October 20th, Harvey underwent his knee replacement surgery and will be out of work for the next 3 months. He could only get in about 2 weeks of physical therapy before his insurance ended. With his being the sole breadwinner for the household and his payroll cut off, bills have escalated. Unfortunately, our loving chef's business can't keep up with them. Things are tough in the Worthem household. We (those who know and love this incredible couple) ask that you find it in your heart to give and help make this season in their lives a little bit easier. Every little bit helps!

The funds raised will be used for Harvey's medical expenses as well as their household expenses through the new year.
