Hi, my name is Marilyn and I am a friend of Melissa’s. I’m sure by now most of you have heard Melissa story for those of you who don’t know Melissa was attacked and almost killed by her brother on June 5. She went to go visit her father, who was dying of dementia, and passed away on June 6. Melissa was in Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego California on the trauma floor for three days. Melissa hasn’t been able to work since the terrible attack and is not sure when she can be cleared. She has not received financial assistance, although she has tried applying for any help she can get and the medical bills are not all covered by her insurance and they are piling up, as are living expenses/rent/etc. If you are able to help Melissa out with a donation in any amount, it would be very helpful and much appreciated!
