Let's Help Rajae Fight Cancer

Dear Friends and Family,

I have created this fundraiser for Rajae Wright, my best friend, one of the most genuine and humble persons you'll ever meet; in hopes that you will join me in helping someone very special fight cancer.

Rajae set out on a path with aspirations of preventing children and people suffer from oral health diseases. A journey that required financial, physical and mental sacrifice. He spent his years serving on medical missions, public health centers and schools, exercising his power to change the lives of many. In the face of challenges, his fire only grew stronger. Always in the lab. Always mentoring. Always in the library at 3 am. We were so proud not only to see him earn his Dental degree but also graduate top of his class. Not only has Rajae been an exceptional Dentist, but a caring son, a loving brother, and a selfless friend to many.

The untimely and devastating news of cancer hit when Rajae started to feel unwell in August. A subsequent CT scan and Biopsy revealed a rare malignant tumor, which had spread to his liver and lungs. He is currently admitted at the Cornwall Regional Hospital, getting optimized for his cycles of chemotherapy.

Rajae is fighting on all fronts. In addition to the burden of his treatment, he shoulders student loans and supports his family and his dear sister Abi, who just got accepted into medical school. For him, offering help is easy; asking for help is hard. We've assured him it's our turn to give him a hand, stand with him in the face of adversity, and get him back to what he does best, being our Rajae.

Donations will go towards his treatments and recovery and ease the burden of having to stop working. All it takes is a donation or a prayer to start a ripple effect. No donation is too small. Don't allow cancer to rob us of someone who makes this World a better place.
