Let's help Shannon FIGHT LIKE A GIRL!
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Valerie ... I'm Shannon's cousin.
On March 1st, our daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend will begin her journey to battle breast cancer.
During the time she has to be off to FIGHT LIKE A GIRL, her income will be cut in half and she’ll be required to cover her health insurance premiums with the remaining income to still maintain any form of health coverage. This will not leave much for her monthly household expenses let alone any unanticipated medical costs.
Shannon is a dedicated Walmart employee and a mom of two children. She is the only one who drives in the home, so in addition to her normal expenses, she may have to use Lyft or Uber to get to her Radiology appointments after surgery. At this time, it is unknown if Chemotherapy will be required.
Anything that you can contribute to help Shannon is greatly appreciated and will help relieve some of the stress of the unknown.
Go Fund Me takes a % of donations, if you’d like to donate outside of this fundraiser account … please reach out to Valerie Potter.
Update 2/27/23 …
Shannon was diagnosed with Covid, so the surgery to get “George” (that’s her tumors name) evicted from his temporary residence will be delayed. Hoping the surgery is scheduled soon so we can get her fight and recovery going!
I will extend the offer to put your name in a drawing for 1 dz free custom sugar cookies to anyone who donates $20 or more up until the day before her surgery!
Please continue to keep Shannon in your thoughts and prayers… please continue to share this fundraiser too!
