Let's help Tanya with their dental billz!

Why, hello there!

 

Our friend Tanya needs to get some dental work done. As I am sure you're all well aware, dental work is QUITE expensive, especially when one is on disability! As I am also sure you all know, provincial disability rates are cruelly low and are only growing more insufficient as the cost of living continues to rise. Although the province will cover 50% of the bill for certain procedures for people on disability, when the bill is $3000 for, say, an exam, some xrays, and then some fillings and a crown... you're expected to pay $1500 which is MORE than THE TOTAL MONTHLY DISABILITY RATE.

 

It's ridiculous that there is a financial COST to living and shameful that those with the least money and ability to make money within the ablist capitalist workforce (ew, force?) are expected to bear the burden to get their basic needs met! Grr! Fuck the state!

 

So until we burn it all down, we are what we've got! We all deserve care, safety, ease, and love so let's come together to help our pal get all that good stuff. Times are tough for all of us in some way or many but if you have a few extra dollars to share to help Tanya to cover their dental bills, it would be so appreciated <3 And if you are unable to support them financially this time around, no shame and no worries, friends.
