Let’s help the Diaz girls!

Hi, my name is Ashley and I’m fundraising for the Diaz girls.
Many of you are aware and follow Deb Diaz because of her awesome and fearless daughter Aubrey.
Aubrey was born with Turner Syndrome in 2010 which resulted in her also having Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. So after 3 open heart surgeries, Aubrey functions effectively with only half of her heart. And she does it well! She plays softball, rides bikes and horses and her presence is like a bright light.
Deb is a single mom of Aubrey and older daughter Julia. She works two jobs to financially provide for the girls, especially to be able to handle Aubrey’s medical bills and her tuition to a special school dedicated to children with learning differences (which is extremely expensive). In the past few weeks, Deb received a devastating diagnosis herself of Inflammatory (Autoimmune) Myositis. Her body has begun to fight against her every muscle causing her to be hospitalized the better part of the past month. At her worst, she was unable to move her arms and legs, unable to hold her head up, unable to swallow and barely able to form words to speak. She is now out of the hospital, at home and finally improving slowly.
However, Deb will be out of work for an extended period of time which ultimately puts her family in a dire situation. Especially with Aubrey being able to continue to attend her specialized school.
I’m asking that we all come together for this family so that Deb can take the time she needs to heal without constantly worrying about their financial situation.
