Please Help the Holmes Family!

We are the Matthews Mavericks Soccer Club and we have known and loved the Holmes family for many years. Together we’ve played, cheered, coached, celebrated, and shared many pints and laughs post-games. We’ve been there to support each other through various ups and downs and today we are here to show our support, appreciation and deep love for Genevieve, Chris and Cailin Holmes while they navigate life battling ALS. We have created this fundraiser to share with all of the communities that touch the lives of the Holmes family.

In 2020, Genevieve was diagnosed with ALS (https://www.als.org/understanding-als/what-is-als) and their lives were changed forever. We are raising funds for the Holmes family to help them with in-home structural accommodations (contractor estimate is $40,000 for the necessary changes to allow Genevieve mobility in their home) and to access various medical treatment options and doctors that are cost-prohibitive to most.

To know Genevieve Holmes is to love her. She is kind, generous, passionate, spunky and 100% dedicated to her family. She is the love of Chris’ life and the most amazing role model for their sweet daughter, Cailin. All donations will go directly to the Holmes family bank account so they can be used immediately.
