Let's help Tim on his Road to Recovery!

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Nicole Bueno. I am reaching out to my community to try and help a longtime neighborhood visitor named Tim Howell, a known and loved Visalian, and his wife Cindy Howell, to assist in medical expenses for Tim.
For those of you who know Tim personally or like me and know him from his frequent walks around NW Visalia over the past few years, you know what a sweet and kind man he is, and he always brightens your day!
Tim is a Marine veteran and was a nurse at Kaweah Health for 15 years when he was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) at 55. He was a volunteer on their local ambulance when they resided in Three Rivers, and had a love for serving his community, helping anyone he could. He was known for his multiple daily walks along the river when he lived there, always going out of his way to help anyone who called for a medical emergency until the Fire Department and EMS could get there. A true guardian angel in their community. More recently, he is known for his daily walks around the Shannon Ranch neighborhoods and a frequent friendly visitor at Shannon Villiage Market gas station, and known for his friendly hellos.
Tim has a wonderful and loving wife, Cindy, and two grown children Michael and Taylor. He also has two grandsons living in Texas, which he has never met due to his inability to fly due to his condition and the ongoing roadblock due to COVID.
On Wednesday, March 9th, Tim was found around 11 PM, with blunt force trauma to his head and one side of his body; after many medical evaluations and an investigation, the doctors believe his injuries were caused by a fall. Since being taken to Kaweah, it has been found that Tim has broken ribs and a punctured lung. His most recent CT scan shows that parts of his brain that were there in his previous scans are now significantly smaller, suggesting his FTD is progressing. Tim is currently undergoing treatment and recovering at Kaweah. He has had multiple CT scans, and his punctured lung is not healing as well or as fast as the doctors would like to see. They have also found something neurologically wrong with one of his eyes. The road to recovery will be a long haul for him to be medically cleared, and at that point, he will be admitted to a secure facility that he will reside at to keep him safe.
At this point, Tim's medical bills are mounting, and the cost of getting him into a facility where he will get the 24-hour care and supervision he needs will undoubtedly be overwhelming.
I have created this fundraiser on behalf of Cindy Howell, Taylor, Michael, and the rest of the Howell family to help alleviate some of the financial burdens that will come from all of this. No family should have to go through this. Those who know what dementia is know what a slow, painful journey is without the added trauma Tim and his family have recently endured. It is at this time I ask if you can donate in any amount, big or small....anything helps. Even if you can share this fundraiser, that is amazing! On behalf of the Howell Family, Thank You, and God Bless!!

Thank you!
