Lets help Tomas get back on his feet

On The 17th of December 2024 my Co worker Tomas Petzler was walking from Werribee station to catch a bus home from work. In an instant Tomas’ life would change forever. He was attacked by a group of youths who were hanging around the front of the station. Tomas was stabbed multiple times suffering life threatening injuries. Tomas’ Lung collapsed and he was stabbed centimeters away from his spine. He would often tell me that he didn’t like catching transport home and would sometimes opt to get an uber home.

Tomas comes from a small town in Queensland called Bowen he recently moved to Melbourne and lives with his Girlfriend. Tomas is on a Trainee wage and is a quick learner and always eager to roll up his sleeves.

In the short by time that I have known Tomas I have observed a quiet young man that is dedicated to his family. Tomas spoke about going to see his Mother this Christmas but quickly realised that he wouldn’t be able to afford the airfare.

I thank God that Tomas is ok and survived his ordeal.

I have decided to set up a Gofundme page to assist him with his recovery and maybe raise some money to buy a car , so that he doesn’t have to catch public transport anymore. Tomas has voiced his concerns that he feels uncomfortable about catching transport but still needs to get to work. Please even the smallest donation can help.

Tomas would also like to thank the young man that helped apply pressure to the wounds that he sustained. He would also like to Thank the police and paramedics that saved his life.
