Let's Help Trey Heal
Donation protected
On October 30, 2021, my nephew, Demetrius "Trey" Stephens was enjoying an evening with his friends when his life was almost taken at 20-years-old. Trey was brutally stabbed several times, most significantly in his upper right arm and abdomen. By the grace of God and the amazing medical team at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, we didn't need to say goodbye to our sweet Trey.
Trey is a resilient, kind, and charismatic young man who cares deeply for his loved ones, willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Trey enjoys being active outdoors, skating, hiking, climbing, and fishing. He loves listening to music, cooking, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, Duchess. Trey remains in the intensive care unit, but he continues to make great progress, getting stronger every day. The horrific and senseless violence that continues to erupt throughout the city of Pittsburgh and across the country is disturbing. How many precious lives need to be taken in order for something to change? Although Trey has a long road to recovery, we are just happy to have him with us.
Because he continues to heal physically and mentally, it's uncertain when Trey will be able to return to work, making finances especially difficult. We hope you consider donating to support Trey throughout his recovery and beyond.
All donations will go directly to Trey to assist with any medical costs, rent, utilities, and basic needs.
If you cannot donate, please share Trey's story in order for us to reach our goal!
