Let's help Vikas

Hello, we are Leo and Samira.

While traveling in India, we met Vikas. He was selling fruits on the street.

After sitting down with him for a talk, we discovered that he sells fruits every day after hours to collect money for the tuition fees for himself and his sister.

His parents died, and he is trying to earn enough so that they both can afford to study. Every day after classes, he walks the streets and sells dates and kiwis to passersby.

He lives not far from Dharamsala in a little room with his sister, grows vegetables, and has a dream to become an engineer and help others once he can afford it. His sister is working towards becoming a nurse.

In his little free time, he and his sister teach English to small kids in the village.

He is a very smart and focused young man, with lots of courage and an even bigger heart. Every month he is at risk of getting kicked out of university due to not being able to afford the exam fees.

We would love to give him a chance to focus more on his studies instead of selling fruits. Even $5 can go a long way here in the Indian mountains.
