We share with heavy hearts the devastating news of Mariame Sylla's passing. Mariame was a cherished member of our community, and her absence has left an irreplaceable void.

In these difficult times, we stand together to comfort and support Mariame's family. To honor her memory and offer her family some relief, we have established a GoFundMe campaign to gather funds for a dignified funeral service and burial.

Our beloved Mariame Toure Sylla (Madame Sylla), a cherished member of our family, African and Muslim community, and Dora Kennedy French Immersion School community, has gone missing while taking a routine walk in the park across the street from her home. We are desperately seeking your support to bring our communities together during this crisis, as we navigate the overwhelming emotional and financial burden that comes with searching for a missing loved one.

The absence of Madame Sylla has left a void that cannot be filled. As we strive to uncover any leads and gather information, we are desperately in need of funds to cover the cost of bringing her sister from the Ivory Coast in Africa to join the search efforts. The financial burden of international travel, accommodation, hiring a private detective (approx. $2,500), billboard campaign (approx. $7,000) has added unexpected layers of stress. Your generous contribution will enable us to reunite, share information, and support one another as we tirelessly search for Madame Sylla.

Moreover, the upkeep of Madame Sylla’s household and everyday expenses have become an immense struggle as we divert our attention and energy toward finding her safe and sound.
