Lets keep Steve on his feet!

We would like to start off by thanking everyone who helped out our dear friend and coworker Steve when he became ill a little over a year ago. With everyone's generosity we helped Steve keep up on his bills, get the medical supplies he needed, and he was able to pick up some groceries as well! Unfortunately Steve's health has taken yet another turn for the worst, On Saturday January 8th Steve came into work barely able to walk and his skin was yellowing so he was quickly taken to the emergency room. After a few hours of running tests, they found out Steve has blood clots in BOTH of his legs. They also informed him that if he wouldn't have come in when he did, he was unlikely to be alive on Sunday. His doctor prescribed a medication called Xarelto. After insurance Steve still had to pay $833.00 out of his own pocket. We are working to try and get him reimbursed with a once in a lifetime coupon for this month, but this medication is something that he will need to take for an uncertain amount of time. Steve in unable to work during this time and in order to try and get his health back to a good place he does have upcoming appointments which do add to unexpected bills. This is one of a few ways we can help Steve stay on his feet and pull through this challenging time!
