On November 17th, 2021, Chris Peters suffered a severe posterior cerebral artery stroke. This has left him with severe dizziness, vision loss in one eye and is currently unable to work. His life has changed dramatically as you can imagine. The little things that we all take for granted, he is now struggling with…. walking his dog Oscar, he cannot drive or ride his motorcycle.
Chris is a no non-sense, hard-working man. He’s worked his whole life to achieve his dreams and finally when he is seeing the reward of his hard work, this horrible thing happens. He’s a proud US Marine. The man who helps those around him without ever asking for anything in return. As a member of the Leathernecks Motorcycle Club, he has helped with various charities for US Veterans and Toys for Tots. For anyone that knows Chris, you know he is the guy that is out there helping others, never asking for help in return.
Unfortunately, his disability insurance has been exhausted therefore, he has no money to cover daily expenses. He is currently selling his possessions to pay his mortgage and living expenses. Forever the person who tries to find the lighter side of bad situations, inevitably stress takes its toll.
He is currently getting treatment at the VA hospital in the Twin Cities; however, as helpful as they have been with his recovery … healing is a slow process. After having a stroke, there are more questions than answers so it’s a horrible waiting game. All of this is draining, not only physically but mentally as well. He is trying his best to stay in good spirits, but the stress does take its toll. I’ve set this page up with the hopes of assisting him with his financial needs, so he has one less thing to worry about.
