Together for Blanca: A chain of solidarity against cancer!

Hello, my name is Cristina Merino Granda, and today I write with my heart in my hands, hoping that when you read these words, you can feel, even if just a little, the immense love that connects me to my aunt Blanca Granda, who lives in Ecuador. For me, she is not just an aunt; she is my second mother, my example of strength, the woman who has been present in every stage of my life, the one who taught me through her own story what sacrifice, commitment, and unconditional love.

Today, life places us in front of one of the hardest trials. Blanca has been diagnosed with uterine cancer, and time is working against us. From Belgium, where I live, I am trying to do everything I can to help her, but I know I cannot do it alone. I need generous hearts, people who believe in the power of solidarity, in the strength of coming together to give a chance at life to someone who has spent their whole life caring for others.

Blanca has worked for years in Israel, Spain, and Switzerland, dedicating her time and effort to caring for the elderly. With tireless hands and a heart full of love, she helped so many people live with dignity, but now she is the one who needs help. A mother of four children, she always did the impossible to give them the best, and today, they are doing everything they can to be by her side, to not leave her alone in this fight, even if that means cutting down on their working hours, living with the minimum, and giving every bit of their day to care for her. But cancer is cruel, it doesn't wait, and the medical expenses are overwhelming.

I know that it's not always easy to help, that we all have our own struggles, but I also know that a gesture of love can change everything. That a small donation, a message of encouragement, a simple action of sharing this story can make a difference.

Every contribution will go toward her surgeries, treatments, medications, well-being and to help her children stay by her side without the burden of financial worries taking away the little peace they have left. I will send every contribution to my aunt in Ecuador.

Blanca is not just my aunt, she is the soul of our family, she is the laughter in the midst of gray days, she is the woman who has given everything without expecting anything in return. And now, when her life hangs by a thread, I cling to the hope that there are people willing to lend a hand. Let’s not allow this story to end in sadness. Let’s help Blanca keep living, keep loving, keep hugging. Because when we come together, when we choose solidarity, we are saving so much more than a life: we are saving love, family, and hope.
