LET’S SAVE KYUNG’S BAKERY & SEND HOPE TO KYUNG

Donation protected
Hi. My name is June, and I’m fundraising for Kyung and Kyung’s Bakery.
Saving “Kyung’s Bakery”
Kyung’s Bakery is an American /Korean pastry store at 153E 4370 S #17 Murray, Utah, owned by Kyung.
Kyung’s Bakery has been open for almost four years. All the customers enjoyed the goodies from her bakery and shared happiness with what she was selling. She has always been cheerful, happy, and eager to make whatever her customers want, even if she had to work 16-18 hours a day. She never complained about hard work. She has just been happy to do what she can with what she is passionate about.
Her business was small to start, but she made a little profit over time. Then the pandemic hit. During four years of her business, she has had to go through two and half years of the Pandemic and barely survived, spending all her savings to keep the bakery alive. Her passion for baking and thinking about what her customers would enjoy helped her make it through all the hard times. She did this all by herself without any employees or help from Covid stimulus checks or the government.
Finally, customers started returning, and she was excited to open the store. Then, one night in the middle of September 2022, she got in a hit-and-run accident. She couldn’t get out of the car because she was severely hurt. She couldn’t walk, stand, or even sit for long. She was hoping that she could start working again soon, but Thanksgiving passed, and Christmas and New Year's Day passed, and she still needs surgery, months to recuperate, and missing out on some of the busiest months of business.
It seems bad luck after bad luck has hit her and her family. Last year her husband got in a hit-and-run accident and is still recovering. And the year 2022, she got in an accident and has ongoing doctor appointments and expensive medical treatments. April 2023 still she is going through various doctors and surgeries. I know one person cannot help her all, but if we help together, she can endure these challenging times with hope. Let’s give her hope and comfort and let her not worry about how she will pay rent and all the bills in the next few months while she recovers from her accident.
We know a lot of small specialty shops are closing because of inflation, lack of employees, etc. We must keep small neighborhood stores like Kyung’s Bakery open against big chain stores and hard times. Please join in and help to keep Kyung’s Bakery alive so we can continue to enjoy her famous cheesecake, fruit tarts, specialty cakes, and one-of-a-kind pastries.

I just let you know that Kyung's Bakery will reopen from Tuesday September 19, 11AM. It will not have all items she used to have since her shoulder and arms has not been healed yet- still has a lot of pains. Dr. said it will take a few more months heal but decided to open for Bakery with help of her son. It will have popular items and Korean Binso(shave ice with fruit and other items), Boba tea and our favorite cakes.

This is from Kyung
