Let’s save The Heron Pub, Westham

The Heron on Westham High Street is a loved village pub where neighbours gather, friendships form, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere has always awaited everyone who walks through the door.

Will, who works at The Heron, and his partner Teresa have been given the opportunity to take the pub on and are investing their own money into this venture but they need your help!

Paul and Daina, the current owners, are leaving due to personal reasons. They have done a fantastic job building up the business and reputation of the pub which Will and Teresa would like to carry on, with Daina and Paul's full support.

Teresa and Will believe in The Heron’s future and feel it would be great if people who have built up good relationships with the locals keep the pub going. They are looking to raise £8000 by December 2024, to be able to pay the brewery and for initial stock.

In recent years, traditional high street establishments have struggled, and many communities have lost the unique places that bring people together. The Heron is one of the few left that still feels like home to so many of us, and it would be a huge loss to see it go.

By December, Teresa and Will need to raise these funds so they are able to preserve this cornerstone of our community, keeping the spirit of the pub alive for generations to come.
