A Travel Fund for our Beloved Teacher
Once upon a time, there was a small but mighty all girls catholic high school in Pittsburgh, PA. Ronald Reagan was President; Prince, Madonna and Michael Jackson dominated the radio; and Cindy McNulty, on her first day as a new faculty member, opened the door to her literature classroom and faced 30 young women in their uniforms looking at her expectantly. The young women dreaded the long reading assignments, essays, and challenges of studying literature & history. However, through McNulty they found insight, inspiration, and intelligence. The scene has repeated over her 35 years of teaching, in which she has sharpened the mind of thousands of students. She brought the world into our classroom and our lives; let's help bring the world to her.
Even though the coronvirus is preventing us from celebrating her in person, let's give her retirement story a happy ending. Please help us raise funds for her to travel. She'll receive a list with the name of every donor.
Let's all be A+ students and give it our best - please donate what you can, and per the Facebook group, please keep it a secret (shh!) until we unveil.
