Let's send Nico to London!

Nico is a freshman at Ocean Springs and their award-winning Marching Band has been invited to participate in the New Year's Day Parade in London next year!

This is such an incredible opportunity for her that we will not let pass. That being said, the cost is pretty high, and because the band is committed to a substantial number of fundraisers throughout the year already, they aren't offering any fundraisers specifically for this trip, (there might be a couple throughout this year, where all funds raised will be equally split between all 250+ students in the band).

Some good friends suggested trying GoFundMe to see if we can at least raise a little bit, I know some family members have already expressed an interest in helping, which we are very grateful for. We put her cost to go as the goal, but we don't expect to get anywhere near that. Anything would help. Below is a little something Nico wrote to tell you a bit about it from her perspective.

**My name is Nico Sanchez and I'm part of the Ocean Springs Blue Grey Pride Band. The BGP has been invited to the London New Years Day Parade. This is an event you don't apply for; you are recommended to be in the parade. Being able to go to London is an opportunity of a lifetime and I would really like to go. Many amazing opportunities are handed to me because I am part of the BGP. I love being in the band because I have made so many friends and being able to go on this trip with them would be the best experience I will ever have. This trip isn't just about the parade, we will be able to see many historical sites like the Crown Jewels, Windsor Castle, Oxford University and many places. Thank you for considering it.

(You all know Nico, and you know what an incredibly fantastic, outgoing, wonderful girl she is, and we are going to make sure she goes on this trip, whatever it takes.
