Let's Show Miss Dot Some Love!

Donation protected
Let’s all chip in to thank Miss Dot for making our lives a little sweeter!  For many years Miss Dot worked for my parents, Bunny and Charley Windham.  She was like a member of our family.  On the Sunday, April 25 episode of HGTV’s Home Town, Miss Dot shared her famous pound cake recipe with Home Town fans when Ben and Erin redid my parents’ former home.  Ben and Erin found Miss Dot’s pound cake recipe on a small note taped inside one of the kitchen cabinets.  For years Miss Dot would make her famous pound cakes in that very small kitchen in my parents’ house, and she and my mom would deliver them.  Whether it was to a new neighbor, a friend who had surgery or was sick, or just someone who had a rough day, Miss Dot and Bunny were always ready with a delicious pound cake to make someone smile.  If you didn’t guess from the show, Miss Dot isn’t just a gifted baker, she is an incredible person.  She is one of the kindest, most selfless and giving people I have ever met.  Miss Dot sees the good in everyone, and she always has an encouraging word just when it is needed most.  She is truly a treasure. So let’s all chip in a little and thank Miss Dot for making our lives and my Home Town a little sweeter, and in turn make her responsibilities a little easier.  She is currently facing some costly home repairs and we could ease that burden. So please join me in showing Miss Dot some love!
