Let's Show Our Support for Dee Mitchell

The friends and colleagues of Dee Mitchell are here to provide support to her in this time of great loss.
In January, Jon Mitchell entered the hospital for what would be his first stay with a long illness that would go on for four months. In the following months, he would take trip after trip to the hospital and emergency room as his condition worsened and the scope of his problems widened. With his loving wife of 33 years, Dee by his side, he fought mightily and held on as best he could until he peacefully passed while in palliative care on May 12th.
He was a sweet, caring, down-to-earth person to all who knew him. Jon married his high school sweetheart with whom he spent the next 40 years of his life and 33 years of marriage. They built a lovely life together with their shared love of animals helping to make fond memories that will continue to live on after his passing. One of his first jobs was at The Blue Whale Pet Store and love of animals continued throughout his life with dogs, bees and reptiles including snakes. After The Blue Whale, Jon was a tinsmith for 34 years. The longer nature of his illness and its complications, unfortunately forced him to step away from the job he loved several times during his various treatments. This has caused a significant financial hardship that has left Dee to have to handle the mounting bills solely. The average cost of his hospitalization was $25,000 per visit with the average co-pays being $400 - $5700 based on treatments.
We are asking that you keep Jon and his wife and family in your prayers, and if you are able to donate, we immensely appreciate anything you can find it in your heart to send. Any funds will go directly towards the overwhelming medical expenses and funerary services.
