Nicole left us nearly 6 months ago. She took brave and heartfelt leave of her friends, and lovingly prepared her family to survive her.
Her daughter Ella’s 12th birthday is this Friday, Oct. 1st; Nicole’s birthday is the next day, on Saturday, Oct. 2nd. On this happy and bittersweet occasion, please join me in fulfilling a promise I made to Nicole and Howard: to help fund Ella’s bright future.
Over the course of the past 2 years, through Howard’s open-heart surgery and Nicole’s cancer journey, through the tragic news of her mom’s recurrence and the ordeals of lockdown and virtual schooling, Ella maintained an A average, and recently received 5 A+s.
She is, in her proud dad’s words, “an amazing girl who is an old old soul. Nicole instilled the kindness and compassion mantra, and she's been the light of our lives. She's into dance and gymnastics, shooting videos and editing. Very artistic, but also a good student.”
