Lets Support Charlie...

Hey friends, our names are Jason Ruggiero and Meghan Nevins Brown.
Most of you know us from entertaining Port Washington and the surrounding areas, whether through Jasons' Karaoke nights or Meghans' singing with Port Jazz Project.
Our dear friend Charlie Mosiejewski, has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He spent the better part of August and September in the hospital, be it at St. Francis or North Shore.
Charlie is a dear friend to the community. He has always been one to show up to support every cause, every fundraiser, supporting musicians, events, and activities around Port and the surrounding areas. Charlie consistently shows up hours ahead of start time to help Jason set up for Karaoke, to ensure that it runs smoothly and that everyone has a fantastic time. With Meghan, (during Cancer treatment and, most recently, her heart attack), he made sure that she had assistance loading and unloading her equipment to perform with her band and that her children were well looked after.
Unfortunately, Charlie went to the hospital in severe pain, only to discover that he had tumors in his bladder that had to be removed in an emergency. Biopsy resulted in his cancer diagnosis.
Without insurance at the time, he will now be burdened with the cost of this life-saving procedure.
Charlie now has insurance but is still facing an uphill financial battle. He has not been at work in several weeks but is desperate to return to work as he cares for himself and his aging mother, who is in poor health.
Charlie is in desperate need of reconstructive bladder surgery and chemotherapy. However, he has returned to work (at Ace Hardware in Soundview Plaza) with two Urostomy bags and is in constant pain.
Let's give Charlie what he has freely given us over the years, Support!
We know firsthand what a fantastic community Port Washington and beyond can be. Charlie has always been there for us; let's now be there for him!
During this challenging time, his family also needs gift cards for meals. They can be dropped off at Sullivans Quay Restaurant, 541 Port Washington Blvd, Port Washington, NY 11050 (to Brian Barry).
Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated!
All our gratitude and love,
Jason Ruggiero and Meghan Nevins Brown
