Let’s support Cristina in her fight against Chronic Illness!
Spende geschützt
Hi My name is Stephanie and I’m fundraising for a dear friend of mine and her mother that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for the last 20 years. They were a family of 3 and there beloved husband/father passed away unexpectedly 10 years ago leaving them to a lot of lose ends and debt. Around 7 years ago my dear friend Cristina, who was always fit and well and the life of the party, fell very ill very spontaneously and spent 2.5 years in and out of hospitals and specialists to determine what was happening to her body. Years later she was diagnosed with a brain issue known as Functional Neurological Disorder and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, which affected her functionality and heart daily. She became quite disabled and stopped working, needing regular rehab and medical apts. Her mother took up full time work to help support them both. Cristina went on to be diagnosed with Cancer in 2020, followed by a string of chronic infections and problems the past 2 years with very limited help from Drs and Specialists. She now deals with malnourished Anorexia amongst a list of daily symptoms and issues, but is always smiling. Her mother has now become her Carer without any support payments and she receives treatment from varied Specialists all over Australia and overseas weekly, as her issues are very rare and unheard of to conventional Drs here in Sydney. These women have also had to ordeal 5 floods throughout their home during the recent Sydney flooding and bills for repairs and medical appointments are piling up. These women have done so much for the community and the local church’s and community organisations over the past 20-30 years and help so many less fortunate. Always giving back and never asking for help. I would love to help and I feel this is the best way. If anyone feels they can offer any additional help for them instead of a donation, please contact me so we can get in touch, otherwise the smallest of donations will go so far to help them both. I know they would be eternally grateful. God bless.
