Hello. My name is Tracey Hardney-Scott. I'm serving as primary advocate for Steven Sykes. In recent years, Steven has suffered physically and mentally from a devastating car accident, several health issues, and most recently, urgent surgery on his prostate to reduce swelling/infection and removal of scar tissue. The surgery did not go very well and left Steven with several complications. To correct the problem, Steven had to have emergency bladder surgery and removal of a massive blood clot to save his life.
As of now, Steven is out of immediate danger, but is in severe pain & is in recovery. These recent problems has left Steven with extreme financial distress, housing difficulties, and a long road in recovery. Steven will also need additional home care for a short period of time.
Anyone who knows Steven is aware of how much he loves to help, a grinder. Now I need for my dear friend to sit down, rest, heal, turn off the computer, put the books down, & focus on himself. Steven also has a few more upcoming surgeries involving his stomach, ankles, feet, & mouth coming within the next few months. We're asking for his network of friends for assistance. Please share whatever you feel is in your heart. We have put together a care team in Richmond that's watching over him the next couple of months to get him on his feet again.
