Let's Team Up to Beat Alzheimer's Together!

Friends and Community,

Eight years ago, my amazing mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Since then, our family has witnessed the gradual decline that this devastating illness brings. However, thanks to the advancements in research and medications, we've been able to prolong her ability to be with us and cherish precious moments, like seeing my kids' births through their start of elementary school.

On June 20th, 2024 the Alzheimer’s Association celebrates one of their biggest fundraisers - The Longest Day© which is the summer solstice - the day with the most light. The Longest Day participants fight the darkness of Alzheimer's and all other dementia through a fundraising activity of their choice on a day that works for them. And today is the day for our family. We seek to raise $2000 by 6/20/24 to support The Longest Day.

So, I'm turning to you, my community, to join me in making a difference. As a busy mom of four, I know firsthand the importance of support and unity in tackling life's toughest battles. That's why I've chosen to launch this GoFundMe campaign to rally our community in support of the Alzheimer's Association.

Growing up, my mom was a pillar in her community - a teacher, one of the first elementary school counselors in the state of Alabama pioneering that program statewide, a volunteer for organizations supporting mental health, children, education and her faith. Most importantly she is my best friend and “G-mom” to my daughters.

Your contribution will directly fund crucial research, provide essential support services for families affected by Alzheimer's, and raise awareness to fight the stigma surrounding this disease. Every dollar brings us one step closer to finding a cure and improving the lives of those living with Alzheimer's and their loved ones.
