Assist Lenée in Overcoming Health and Financial Hurdles

If you're reading this, you probably know me already. But, in case you don't: I'm Lenée (she/ her). I'm a grief worker, writer, speaker, and energy worker. I live, love, and electric slide in my hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I'm going to make this as brief as possible, because I don't want to weigh anyone down with the intricate details of my life since 2018, when I first became really sick and turned to my online and IRL networks for support.
Over the last two years, I've been underemployed, despite working on amazing projects and doing some truly cool stuff with my friends and colleagues. In fall 2023, I signed onto a contract job that eventually turned into a complete clusterjam; it set me back more than it propelled me forward in my consulting work.
As I live with bipolar disorder and long covid, things have been hard. I wouldn't say I've been suffering quietly or in private, but there have been some very deep depressive episodes and I scrape my way out every time with the support of my loved ones. For that, I'm grateful.
Because of recent health issues I've had (presumably due to long covid, though the diagnostics and testing available to me are very limited through my health insurance), it's become very hard to sustain my grief work. I'm behind on every single bill I have, and need to at least stay afloat for the next 3 months while I address my physical and mental health needs.
If you know me from my fundraising work, hire me to consult or design a fundraising campaign for you.
If you like the way I write, commission a piece from me, or invite me to pitch.
If you need a grief workshop, or want to do some intense grief work one-on-one, hit my inbox. My resume is here. Contact me here -- don't be a jerk.
This is my breakdown for my estimated needs, minus all platform/ transfer fees paid to GoFundMe. Anything in excess of this budgeted number will go to pay off smaller debts (credit cards I've used to buy groceries, for instance).
- Household expenses (rent, utilities, phone/ internet, and groceries): $1800 x 3 months = $5400
- Transport to and from medical appointments, errands that can't be run on foot: $150 x 3 months = $450
- OTC meds, prescription copays, and any treatments not covered by insurance: $150 x 3 months = $450
- Miscellaneous/ incidental expenses (including website hosting, cleaning supplies): $100 x 3 months = $300
Additionally, the remanding funds will enable me to present my workshops and other programming for free! Every $25 covers a paid slot in one of my grief workshops. Coming up on June 12, at 7 pm eastern, is my breakup workshop. More info at this link.
As I have done before, I have every intention to pay forward what's given to me. I'll be continuing to direct support to the people I've helped before through the #AnonymousCrowdfund. I really need this time to rest some more. I'll be so appreciative to have it.
Please share this GFM far and wide. I'm thankful for each of you.
