Letters to Jude
To all parents who have lost their beloved child, I am so sorry.
To Kevin and Dana for letting me share their story to help other parents, thank you. Your bravery and compassion for others is inspiring and I wish it was a story you didn't have to tell. Jude will forever be proud of his parents.
To Jude, we love and miss you. This song is for you.
Kevin and Dana lost their son Jude over a year ago and had only just started on a journey of grief that would continue for their entire lives. As a family member on the outside of their story, there is nothing you can do to make up for their loss. The only the things you can do is educate yourself on how take care of your loved ones. For them, listening to their story, sharing their sons name, and helping others who have been in their shoes is a part of that journey.
October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Jude's song will be released on October 13th in memory of him and all others as a love letter to their parents and others like him. For the week leading up to this date, we ask that you help us make a difference by donating to the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre, and listening to Jude's song or perhaps sharing it with someone in need. PILSC is a foundation that gives supports to parents in need after the loss of their child. The foundation has given Kevin and Dana the voice to speak on their son's memories, wishes for him, and advice for others through their grief process. The Letters to Jude fundraiser will be donating to PILSC to help bring awareness to the subject and allow other parents to feel comfortable sharing their stories and child's name as well. Additionally, all of the funds generated from pre-saves and iTunes sale of "Jude" during the month of October will be donated to PILSC. We thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that is so dear to our hearts.
