Let Your Spirit Soar, Geoffrey
Donation protected
2019 began with our beloved Geoffrey Robert Nicols , finally overcoming his addiction & transitioning to a place of peace with no more suffering.
Geoffrey passed on New Years Day, shared with the birthday of his love, Jessica .
As a family that fears this call often, due to the horrible nature of the disease of addiction, there is a part of us that feels relief, that his suffering is no more. However we are left with the unbearable pain of his unexpected physical absence, and knowing that his 1 year old son, Clayton, will grow up without his Daddy.
We have started this fundraiser for Geoffrey's love, Jessica, & for his son Clayton, so that she can grieve the loss of Geoff, without the added stress of suddenly becoming a single income household. We are asking for help to cover household expenses, bills, food, clothing, etc. So many people have donated food which has been amazing, but as the shock of what has happened wears off, and the influx of amazing people with home cooked meals wears off-the reality is, things will and have to go back to some sense of normalcy, albeit a new norm for this family.
We are asking for donations to Jess & Clayton via GoFundMe, Venmo, or a credit to Jessica's Shipt Grocery Delivery account, so that while she struggles through managing things on her own now, she can provide for her family without spending precious time at the grocery store.
Whether you decide to donate here, Venmo or make a donation to Jessica's Shipt account, please accept our sincerest gratitude for any donation, even the smallest amount, for this family who is going through the unspeakable.
Even if you are unable to donate, please keep Jessica & Clayton in your thoughts & prayers, as well as Geoffrey's family, who are all mourning the loss of Geoffrey's physical life.

Addiction is a disease. Addiction is not a choice. If you or a loved one are suffering through the agony that comes along with loving an addict, seek support through your local Alanon group.
This is also a very helpful site to educate people on addiction and provide tools and support.
