Leukemia Warrior ~ Chassidy Mace

As many of you know, On July 30th, our dear friend, sister, mother, incredibly amazing and strong woman, Chass, was diagnosed with Acute B-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Since this sudden diagnosis she has endured many chemo treatments, transfusions, bone marrow biopsies, been poked and prodded at daily, she has now lost all her hair and is very fatigued and unable to eat or drink much.

Even through all the uncertainty, and difficult days, she is taking every day on this journey in true Chass form, with positivity and appreciation for all the blessings she has in her life. I’m so proud to call her my friend and I love her beyond words. She’s a genuine inspiration to me and many others.

Chass initially spent over 2 weeks in Hershey Med right after her diagnosis, she is again currently admitted due to an infection and fever after only a week home. While is was home she has a lot of traveling back and forth every other day, sometimes daily for continued treatments, lab work, platelet infusions, blood transfusions, and chemo. She has been told that this unexpected journey could take 2yrs of treatments and potentially continued admissions but we are steadfast in our hope and praying for remission sooner rather than later!

Many of you have experienced first hand Chass’s selfless acts of love and friendship! Over the years Chass has given so much to others, she has always been there when she’s needed & never questions why, she’s cooked and shared many meals with friends and loved ones, shared laughs, joys, tears and more laughs. I know this first hand because we have been dear friends for 35 years, we’ve been road trip buddies, Texas Roadhouse patrons (many many times! ) selfie queens, airport taxi (she drools, I spit - inside joke ha!) and she has always been there for me no matter what and I love her beyond words!

So for these & many more reasons, her 2 sweet gals, Nik and Ashley, family/friends and I are showing our love in return and our support by starting this fundraiser for her to help relieve some of the financial stresses and burdens.

Chass will have many future medical bills, potential hospital stays, many more chemo treatments, platelet infusions, Medications, car payments & insurance, restricted dietary needs, supplies etc….

No one going through something like this should worry about $$. Getting healthy and beating this ugly cancer beast is what she needs to focus on right now.
