Levi Shirk Medical Expenses

Our son Levi was in a motorcycle/car accident on September 4th. He was life flighted to Skyline Medical because there was concern that he incurred head trauma. X-rays and scan revealed he DID NOT have any head, brain, or neck injuries - Praise God! They also ruled out any lung issues or broken ribs. He did, however, break his femur, damaged his tibia and meniscus on his right leg. He under went 2 surgeries to place rods, plate and many, many screws. He spent 7 days in the hospital and was discharged on September 11th.

He is recuperating at home now. His right leg is braced from ankle to hip and he is unable to put any weight on his right leg for at least 3 months. He can stand with a walker for short periods of time and walk/move about 10 feet with the walker by hopping on one foot. Both are exhausting and can cause dizziness. Physical and occupational therapy will start soon, but his recovery will be long and slow.

Levi recently completed his welding program at TCAP and begun looking for a fulltime job in this field, while he continued working at Deer Run Camps and Retreat. The accident has left him in the position where we do not believe he will be able to work during this recovery time. As a means to help cover the medical bills beyond insurance, we have set up this GoFundMe. We so appreciate any help toward this goal.

Most of all we ask for your prayers over Levi. The Lord protected Levi in this crash and allowed him to still be with us. The Lord has much more in store for the future of this young man!
