Levi's Scholarship Fund in Honour of Sarah Jones
Donation protected
On January 6, 2021 Sarah Jones was killed in a car accident in south London.
Sarah was only 39 years old and so full of life. Her smile, charisma and sense of humour lit up any room she walked into. She created such meaningful relationships with her friends and colleagues. Phone conversations with Sarah easily lasted over two hours. She made everyone feel heard, respected and supported.
Sarah was a trailblazer. As the Managing Editor of Business London Magazine, she was constantly innovating and focusing on forward progress. Sarah was an advocate for London businesses and encouraged supporting local and entrepreneurship. A champion for diversity and change, Sarah gave a voice to ALL businesses in London.
Above all else, Sarah was a devoted wife and mother. Her family was her world. She leaves behind her husband Mark, son Levi and step-son Jordan.
Sarah named our group chat "Shit Just Got Real". The chat comprised of our tribe; Lisa Catania, Anna Merchant, Sarah and myself. We could always count on Sarah to be as real as the days are long, providing the best advice whether you wanted to hear it or not. Her wit, honesty, and compassion are only a few of the qualities we will all miss. Sarah was not simply a colleague, but a very dear friend to us all.
"Shit Just Got Real", as a small tribute to Sarah, has started an Education Fund for her son Levi. She placed huge importance on education and would want to know Levi was taken care of in this regard. Please donate what you can so we can ensure Levi has the funds necessary to attend the post-secondary program of his choice, when the time comes.
Sarah's husband, Mark Facciorusso is being added as the beneficiary of this fund and all money will be transferred to him to keep in trust for Levi.
Thank you for sharing and for all your continued support. This fundraiser has gained incredible traction after only a week and a half. We've heard that it has yet to make its way to some donors, and as a result, we've increased our goal to $50,000. Thank you to everyone who has already donated and to those who have shared kind words about Sarah. We, along with Sarah's family, are overwhelmed by the generosity of those whose lives Sarah touched.
Sending love and light to all facing this extraordinary loss,
-Anna, Lisa and Madisyn
