Lew - A Dementia App
Donation protected
My dad has dementia. It became evident a few years ago after a heart attack he had. It’s been a slow process, but every part of it has been painful.
I had already had some experience with diseases like this. My grandfather, on my mom’s side, had Alzheimer’s for over 20 years. He spent 7 of those years in the fetal position. My grandmother, on my dad’s side, had dementia in her latter years.
I was in the magazine section of Barnes and Noble when I came up with an idea. I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a website for people with dementia?” That small idea has turned into something I pray can genuinely help people.
With the help of many of my friends and family, I have developed an app that I hope and pray will help those loved ones and their caregivers. I’ve decided to call it Lew.
There are no apps like this on the market. There are apps out there to help with dementia, but none as all-inclusive as Lew. There are checklist apps. There are mind game apps. But there are none like this. I want to focus on helping not only people with dementia, but their caregivers.
This app will provide reminders to loved ones, checklists for daily activities, a messaging platform to send loved ones and caregivers messages, reminders of people and places. Lew will provide help for caregivers in the form of medical and legal advice, public forums to ask questions, mental health advice, and much more. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
I need your help.
I have already selected a company from four I have spoken with over the last few months. I have chosen the one with the most experience in start-up apps. They are among the least expensive for the product we need, and they can help us market the app to reach as many people as possible. I have met with them several times and done months of research. We have a price from beginning to end.
If you decide to donate, even just a little bit, it will go straight to the creation of this app. I have a separate bank account that will be used only for this app. I would also ask that you send me your email address so I can put you on a newsletter as the app is created. I will send monthly updates and tell you exactly where your money is going and how the app is coming along. I will be upfront and honest with you throughout this entire process.
This app is for Lew or anyone that has someone that is suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s. It’s for JoAnn. It’s for W.F. For Doug. For Bill. For Dixie. For Laverne. For Charles. For Patsy. For Tamsin. My list could go on and on, and yours could, too.
If you can, please donate. Whatever you want to donate. Also, if you donate, please fill out this google form for me, so I can know who you are, your email, who you donate for, and any message you’d like to send me.

If you are more interested in investing with a chance to return on your investment, please let me know, and we can set that up for you.
I also ask for your prayers for this project. I want to ease the lives, however small, of people suffering from this terrible disease.
And lastly, please share this with anyone and everyone. The more people we get, the better chance the app will get going sooner. The app launch will take 16 weeks from the first money spent.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support.
