Kenya School Project

Lewa Wildlife Conservancy believes that education is critical in saving endangered species. With only 70 black rhinos in Kenya, they are focused on improving schools to end poaching. And there have been no poaching incidents in over four years.

They have built clinics, paid for teachers, pay for students to go to secondary school and rely on people like us to help improve the schools near the preserve.

The Ntubmuri Mixed Day school in Kenya is one such school. They have 247 students and get just $0.27 per student per semester from the government.  The classrooms are huts and dirt floors and teachers doing what they do best - teaching and getting amazing results for their students. For many of these students, their only meal comes from the school at lunch.

The principal and the teachers pray for good rains and a good harvest so that the parents can provide a few more resources for the school each year.  They need our help and just giving  a little bit could have a huge impact.

We want to help them get a new kitchen for $7000. Books for the school would be $200 and a bunch of new desks for $25 a piece so that every child had a desk.  If we raise a lot more - we can build classrooms or add more resources.  We want to just good a good start and make sure these students have a meal, a desk and a book.  Not a lot to ask.

So any amount will help the school. These kids, these teachers and the principal are just amazing and a little bit will go so far!
