Lewiston Maine Victims and Families

This year marks the 100th year that there has been a Harley-Davidson dealership in Lewiston, Maine. For the past 18 years L-A Harley-Davidson along with our exceptional staff, customers, and surrounding communities have been able to come together and not only celebrate the Harley-Davidson motorcycling culture but also create unique opportunities allowing us to give back in various ways. Whether it has been for our Veterans, First Responders, Children, Cancer Patients, or many of the other great organizations/people in need, L-A Harley-Davidson has always been a big believer in giving back however possible.

This past Wednesday (October 25th, 2023) was one of the most tragic events in our community’s history. Many of our friends, families, and customers were affected by this and our hearts are broken for the 31 victims (18 passed and 13 wounded as of Oct. 26th) and their friends/family.

We see the great support our communities are showing for those affected and believe it’s our duty to find a way of showing our love and support for everyone involved. After discussing with the Victims First and GoFundMe teams, will be working with the Maine Community Foundation who will directly receive and distribute ALL proceeds from this fundraiser to the immediate families of those who lost their lives in this saddening event. To start, we will donate $1,000 to get the fundraiser going. In addition to that, we will be donating a portion of our entire store’s proceeds for the month of November.

Some of our customers and staff's family member's lives were lost and while we don't personally know each and every one of the victims, Lewiston is our home town and we are determined to helping these families however we can.

Unfortunately, due to the scams on the internet, there is a lack of trust for platforms like this one so we wanted to help alleviate any concerns by creating a fundraiser that people can trust. We are calling on all local business and individuals for any support you are able to provide. It doesn’t have to be big.
