Lexi Hicks family support fund

Donation protected
On March 16th, Eddie and Dena Hicks received the unthinkable phone call that their daughter, Lexi, was in a horrible accident while on spring break in Panama City Beach, FL.  A full size truck failed to yield and slammed into the golf cart Lexi and 6 others were riding in.  Lexi was unresponsive at the scene and endured multiple injuries. She was transported to a local hospital. Eddie and Dena were notified and took the first flight out of Ohio.  She is currently in critical but stable condition on a ventilator but can breathe on her own.  Lexi has several injuries on her right side and requires several surgeries. She lost quite a bit of blood and had a blood transfusion. She had surgery early yesterday morning to put her shoulder back in place and repair her arm from where the bone came through. She will have surgery to repair multiple fractures and a break in her jaw. Her shoulder has a chip in the bone and needs surgery. Her elbow is fractured and needs surgery. Surgeon said her pelvis is one of the worst she has seen and will require 2 surgeries. Her femur was pushed up and shattered her pelvis. Surgeon is concerned her sciatic nerve is torn and her right leg may be paralyzed. She is scheduled for surgery Thursday morning. Surgeon said Lexi will be in the hospital for weeks. She said they can have her airlifted to Dayton and have the surgeries there if insurance will cover transportation, if not they will be in Panama City for awhile. Eddie is a small business owner(Triton Home Improvement) and Dena is a stay at home mom. Their income will be limited as he will not be able work while caring for Lexi out of state.  We hope to raise enough money to air flight Lexi home as well as help cover her medical costs from the multiple surgeries and therapy she will require. She has a long road ahead of her and we need to bring her home so the Hicks family can have the support of their family, friends and community. Any donation will help and your prayers are welcome and needed. Thank you!
