Lexi Thoreson’s tradgic medical emergency

Hello friends family and strangers… Our sweet Lexi who is 18 years old had a medical emergency. As you may have heard someone called 911 for a person walking up the highway 53 ramp heading toward Holmen from Onalaska next to coulee golf and bowl the morning of December 1st 2023. Lexi went to work as normal December 1st aprox 6am. At some point Lexi left work in which we believe she went to lunch but did not return to work this was very unusual. When the cop arrived on scene Lexi could not identify who she was or what she was doing. The officer called for an ambulance in which they took Lexi to Mayo in lacrosse thankfully Lexi had her phone on her for them to be able to locate Jenny lexis mom. When Lexi arrive to Mayo in lacrosse they did some tests and scan and found bleeding in the brain they then med flighted Lexi to Rochester in Mayo where they did more scans and found a tumor. Lexi is currently and will be in Rochester and seeing doctors for quite some time going forward. This was completely out of the blue with absolutely no signs of a tumor prior to December 1st tragic accident that could have been way worse if it wasn’t for the kind sole who called in the strange event. Lexis car was missing and was later found at KT in Onalaska by coulee golf and bowl thankfully she hadn’t wondered to far and we believe she got help quick. Rochester Mayo has taken her intubation out and she is breathing on her own. She was conscious and recognized her mom and can follow commands like wiggles your toes. She tried to say hi but her throat is is little raw from the tube. They will see if she is swallowing well enough to eat soft food. They are waiting for her drain tubes to equalize. They are draining but not evenly. The neurologists will evaluate and formulate a plan. The current cause for this is that they believe a tumor in her brain hemoraged causing a brain bleed and fluid on her brain and the confusion she was experiencing. They are talking about either a biopsy or surgery in the very near future but are trying to plan this the best way possible and follow all necessary precautions needed. They do not yet know if the tumor is benign or not. Jenny and her family want to thank everybody for the love and support they have been receiving. They love and appreciate all of you and Jenny is passing your love on to Lexi. Whoever called the police when Lexi Jenny’s daughter was wondering around confused, Jenny says you have my eternal love and gratitude. You undoubtedly saved her life!
