Lexie and Maddie
Donation protected
Update: Lexie will be going to Atlanta for rehabilitation later in the week, not sure an exact date yet but the paperwork process is in the works. We are praying for a miracle. Lexie still doesn’t have any feeling in her legs. We have so many questions and only time will have the answers to those. Will we need a wheel chair accessible vehicle? Will we need to do renovations to our house so that it is wheelchair friendly? Please continue to keep us in y’all’s prayers and all donations are very much appreciated as we don’t know what’s to come as far as expenses go. Again thank you so much for all the love and support we have received.
Update: Madison got to come home 11/11/2023, which is awesome. She is doing great but won’t be able to go back to school until released by the neurologist. Lexie still has a long road to recovery. She will be going to a rehabilitation center in Atlanta soon and we aren’t sure how much logging and travel expenses will be. At this point, we are just taking it day by day. All donations are appreciated so much. This is so scary for us. Thank y’all for the continuous prayers
Also, any monies not used for Lexies expenses will be donated back to Children’s Hospital for saving my girls’ lives.
Update on the girls: Madison is doing much better and will probably be going home today; Alexis is still in ICU and doesn’t have feeling in her legs… She has been allowed to sit up since she got her back brace yesterday but has to be very careful . She seems to be in better spirits since she’s been able to sit up. They will be moving her to Atlanta at some point for better rehabilitation. Please continue to keep the girls in y’all’s prayers. Miracles do happen and we need one so bad for Alexis.
As many of you are aware we were in a really bad car accident on Sunday, November 5th on the way home from church. Alexis and Madison are both in ICU and it’s completely crushing us all. Alexis has spleen/kidney damage and has no feeling in her legs. The neurologist came in this morning and said they found a line in her spinal cord. This is absolutely devastating as it could be long term. Trying to see the positive, the doctors say they normally see other injury around it and they do not. Madison has a couple broken ribs and a really bad concussion. She has not been able to communicate at all up until this morning, she sprang up and said she had to go to the bathroom and was combative. That is a very good sign for her. It is going to be a long road of recovery for both of the girls, Lexie longer than Maddie. We are all devastated and won’t be able to work for a couple months. I hate to have to ask for help but I don’t see how we will make it without help. Even a little bit, anything will help. Please continue to pray for our little angels as they have a long road of recovery.
