Give Lexie a Helping Hand

Hi everybody, my name is Jack Hull and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Lexie Walker, my aunt, Natalie Walker, and my uncle, Bernie Walker.
On the evening of June 25th, Lexie was driving home from work in Santa Maria, CA, when a BMW crossed into her lane, hit her, and drove off. The hit caused her to swerve off the road and roll over, where she smashed the driver's side of her car, breaking every bone in her left hand and tearing off the skin as well.
As of the 26th, Lexie is currently flying via helicopter to San Francisco where she is expected to begin the first of many surgeries, where she and her family pray that she can not only keep her hand, but have any sense of usability.
Due to the urgent and extreme procedures necessary, both my cousin and my aunt are going to be out of work. Lexie is going to need 24/7 surveillance and care as she begins a long and arduous journey to whatever form of recovery is possible. This is where the financial struggles begin. In order to accommodate Lexie's recovery, she, Bernie, and Natalie will need to pay multiple out-of-pocket medical expenses, as many of these procedures are not covered by Medicaid. We are not sure what the total cost will be at this point, but we are worried that the price of her recovery will become too strenuous for everyday living. We want to be able to pay for as much as possible ourselves, but at this time, we are asking for a start so that Lexie, Natalie, and Bernie can focus on recovery rather than expenses. Anything helps. We are eternally grateful that she is alive and in good spirits, and we hope we can persevere through this traumatic experience. God bless her and God bless you all. Thank you.
