Lexie's Cancer Fundraiser

Abby and I have had the worst year. We lost my grandma early in the year. This meant lots of trips to Iowa to see her before she left us. My other grandma, my rock, has lost much of her memory, so I cannot call her with hard things anymore. I try sometimes, but she doesn’t know how to respond. We found out in April that our dog, Lulu, has diabetes. This has meant that we are going in for glucose curves every two weeks at just under $300 a pop. However, at this point, I am just glad there is a treatment plan to keep her with us. The latest news is the most heartbreaking, we don’t know how to gather ourselves. We took our baby, Lexie, to the vet for an ear infection. The doctor seemed concerned about a lump on her leg. It was a new lump and she gets lumps all over her back. Turns out it is a mast cell tumor, a type of cancer.
We don’t like asking, but we are in tough shape financially with everything going on… new brakes on the Camry, the cast iron pipe in the basement went bad, so we had to change that out, a new car battery, and then all the other normal increases that everyone has seen at the grocery store and the pump. I don’t know if anyone has anything to spare, but my sister-in-law thought it would be worth the ask. We have had bad circumstances this year and the weight of the financial situation is very heavy. Please consider.
Much love to all.
